Every new seller's store and products are reviewed by Market 1924 staff before they appear anywhere on the marketplace. "Verified" and "Established" badges reflect that review of the business profile. We don't yet require government ID or business registration documents as part of that review — that's on our roadmap.
Card and Mobile Money payments are processed through Paystack, a licensed payment provider. Market 1924 never sees or stores your full card number or MoMo PIN. Payments are verified server-side against Paystack directly.
Inventory is reserved the moment you check out, not after — so two people can't both successfully buy the last unit of something during the payment window.
Only buyers who actually completed a purchase can leave a review on that item, marked as a verified purchase.
Passwords are never stored in plain text. Every form submission is protected against cross-site request forgery. Market 1924 staff accounts require two-factor authentication before they can do anything.
A formal in-app returns and disputes process is still being built. Right now, the way to report a problem is through our contact form. A real person reviews every message.
