Market 1924 Seller Standards

A. Accurate products

Describe products accurately: truthful images, correct size/color/variant information, correct materials, and any important defects disclosed. Don't list a different product from what's shown or invent a fake "original price" for a discount.

B. Inventory

Keep your stock counts accurate. A buyer paying for something that turns out to be unavailable is tracked as a stockout โ€” repeated stockouts can affect your store's visibility.

C. Fulfillment

Confirm paid orders promptly, prepare items within your stated timeframe, and send the correct item.

D. Pricing

Prices are in Ghana cedis and must match what's actually charged at checkout. Discounts must be real.

E. Off-platform payments

Don't ask buyers to pay you directly or cancel a Market 1924 order to pay privately. This removes buyer protections and can lead to suspension.

F. Customer privacy

Use buyer information only to fulfill their order. Don't add buyers to marketing lists or contact them outside of what's needed to complete the sale.

G. Returns and refunds

Cooperate with Market 1924's dispute and return process. Refund decisions are governed by platform policy, not decided unilaterally by either party.

H. Counterfeits

Counterfeit goods are prohibited. You must have the legal right to sell any branded products you list.

I. Prohibited products

Illegal or restricted goods aren't permitted. Market 1924 staff can remove listings that violate this.

J. Product photography

Any future photo enhancement tools may only improve background, lighting, crop, or clarity โ€” never alter the actual product's color, shape, or features.

K. Conduct

Communicate respectfully with buyers and Market 1924 staff. No threats, harassment, discrimination, fraud, or spam.

L. Verification

Information you provide during onboarding must be accurate. Fraudulent documentation can result in permanent removal.

M. Enforcement

Depending on severity, Market 1924 may warn a seller, reduce a listing's visibility, freeze a payout during investigation, or suspend a store. A single minor mistake doesn't lead straight to permanent removal.
